Parents simply need an email address and the location Pin for the school to register. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or text 086 1577575 for a Location Pin.
Download The Lunchbox Meal Scheme App to your smart phone - just search 'The Lunchbox Meal Scheme' for iOS or Android.
Register your child’s details through the App.
Purchase the Lunchbox Meal Scheme for any or all days of the week for the remainder of the term via the App or deposit money into the online wallet to purchase meals as you go.
The parent or student can select their menu choice for the day or days they have purchased through the App and then we do the rest!
Menu selections will be locked in 48hrs before service so be sure to order well in advance to avoid disappointment on the day. However, all the teams in our partner schools have a flexible approach so please get in touch if you have any difficulties in selecting meals or if you need to cancel a meal: email@example.com or text 086 1577575
The student then collects their meal at the school counter. We will have a manual list of all students at the counter for verification but we recommend requesting a key fob at the counter which can be added to the account through the App. This fob can be used to verify purchases at the counter and speed up collection!
Please note if a meal is not selected in time we will select a meal for your child, so they will receive a meal - it just may not be the meal of their choice!
A Meal Scheme price is determined by counting the number of days purchased weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and multiplying this by the number of weeks left in the term. The App will include school closures as informed by the school calendar.
Each meal costs €5.90
Your child has night study on Tuesdays and Thursdays and those are the days you would like to have a substantial meal at school for them!
You select Tuesday and Thursday in the App and the App then calculate a price based on the number of Tuesdays and Thursdays left available in the term.
Meal schemes initiate 48hrs after purchase, so if you purchase on Monday our service will begin on Thursday.
It is also worth noting that you may add additional students to the same account using the “Add account” button. The students don’t need to be in the same school but when registering the additional student use the same email address as used for the first student and the relevant Pin Location for the additional student in the different school.
REFUNDS / CHANGING DAYS / EXTRA DAYS
We have a no-questions-asked policy when it comes to terminating a meal scheme.
If after you have purchased a scheme, you want to unsubscribe and get a refund, no problem whatsoever! Just drop us a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
For added flexibility we have a Wallet in the App which you can top up to buy additional meals or extras items like fruit or treats.
If you want to reduce the days on your Meal Scheme you can do so within the App and the refund will revert to your in App Wallet.
If you wish to empty your Wallet for a refund just drop us a mail
